Good morning to you all on The Lord's Day...
I hope everyone is well and rejoicing because God is good!
Today has been declared a Global Day of Prayer and Fasting by the World Evangelical Alliance based in Illinois encouraging all Christians around the earth to pray and fast. Hundreds of millions of Christians will cry out to God today. The theme is from Psalm 107, Lord help us.
A statement from the group reads, "We hope to galvanize the prayer efforts and encourage believers to become part of the global prayer movement to intercede with God daily."
Amen. I hope you will join me today in pray.
Our merciful God and Heavenly Father, we come to you in deep humility and sorrow, crying out to you to have mercy and heal our land. Lord we ask that you will heal all those that are sick physically and also those sick in sin, bring them to life in Jesus name. We ask you Lord to protect us and give us strength to care for one another in this great time of crisis and God we ask you to revive us again, that we will be strong and bold in Christ name and not afraid to say so... In Jesus powerful name we pray, Amen.
Let's look at some verses from Psalm 107...
1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. Whatever the rest of the world may think, we have overwhelming reasons to declare the goodness of the Lord. If there ever was a family on the earth that represents the LOVE and MERCY of GOD.. It is the Family of God. Amen! We are a peculiar people with a peculiar redemption, We have several obligations to give thanks unto the Lord. Let us say it so! Not just live it only, but speak it for all to hear! Then notice two verses 6 and 13... "Then they cried" Sometimes it wasn't until the extremities of life had pressed them(God's people) so, that they cried out. They cried out to be heard! They cried out to the right person, even Christ the Lord! When their distresses exceeded all their capabilities, they cried out and God heard his children. The sincere cry and the forced supplications of the child of God, he will in no wise cast out. He delivered them. Amen. And verses 19 and 28 The bible then says, "Then they cry" Church, I want you to know THIS IS US! All those before us, "Then they cried" unto the Lord. Now the bible says, "Then they cry" unto the Lord... We cry out today Lord... hear the prayers of the Church all around the world! All our prayers may just be that, "a prayer" until we truly with everything in us "cry out to God". Maybe all our prayers should be cries till the Lord answers. Lord, out of utter helplessness we cry out that you will heal our land and heal your people. He will deliver us. Amen. Then in verse 20, see what happens... 20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Please remember our church prayer requests and all those listed in our church bulletin. Pray for one another. Pray for our Nation and our people. Pray for our military and the churches missionaries all around the world. Pray for our Police Officers and Fire Fighters. Pray for all those in the medical field, hospitals and doctors office as they provide patient well care and also to protect themselves. Finally Pray for the lost, those seeking after The Lord today. Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed by thy name Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen "Wherefore edify(encourage) one another..." 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Redeemed and saying so in Christ, Pastor Brian
