Resurrection Day

Good morning...

John 19:41a "Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden"

Joseph made his grave in a garden

To others this would seem odd, but not to those who have 'a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead'

Amen! that those who are laid to rest in the grave shall come forth again in new and fairer life, as Isaiah 61:11says "the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth."

Notice Josephs garden grave... The grave was fittingly in the garden. The flowers petals will fade and fall. Trees will shed their falling leaves and blooms will wither.. Joseph made his grave in a garden because man will do the same, man will live, flower and bloom and then die!

Josephs garden grave causes us to comtemplate death in life.

Just the same as the grave in the garden reminds us of life after death!

Josephs grave in the garden expresses a possiblility of life after death!

We have hope today because of this grave in the garden!

Christ Resurrection from the grave is the very center, the very hope that we have of eternal life after death!

Christ Resurrection changes our hope into certainty.

Christ was the same in His glorified body as he was in his body his disciples knew him. And we also shall be known as we were Amen!

The grave in the garden reversed the sentence of the first man Adam.

1 Corinthians 15:16

AMEN! Lets go on John 19:41b "wherein was never man yet laid."

Christ was placed in a borrowed tomb, Josephs tomb because Christ never needed a grave. Spurgeon said "Christ sins were borrowed sins, so His burial was in a borrowed grave."

Christ took upon himself our sins and nailed them to the tree, he paid the penalty for all of us, and was placed in another man's grave until "After 3 days" come to pass!

The will be a grave for us one day if The Lord tarries his coming..but Jesus didn't need a grave so he just borrowed one!

I said yesterday that a new day was coming... This grave was a new grave where no man had been before.

Christ went where no man had gone before! And is victorious over death, hell, and the grave! Amen!

When Christ was finished with it, he gave it back and it was better after Jesus had been there... After you meet Jesus, after you see Jesus at Calvary.. after you see Christ risen from the dead, you are better than you were before!

There was a garden near the place where Jesus was crucified. There was a grave garden which no man had been before in sight of the place where Jesus paid for our sins.. There was a re-birthing place in sight of Calvary!

Thank you Lord for willingly to be high and lifted up for all the world to see! In Jesus name, Amen.
