RIP Brad

Good Morning...

Got some bad news today about a friend that passed away yesterday.

You know how it is... Someone ask us the question, "How are you?" And we respond in our higher tone of voice, "I'm doing fine, I'm great, how about you? Doing good, thank you for asking." Lying the whole time, not to just our friend or acquaintance, but to ourselves!

So I have been trying to pray all day, thinking about my friend and his family, wishing I could have done something, wishing I could have been there to help in some way.

As a Christian we say this a lot don't we...

"I've been praying for you "

And then feeling like it just isn't enough...Our own faith being weak a lot of the time, how could I move any mountains like this. Catching up and having a great time with the fam but...

It seems like I'm disconnected from my walk with The Lord with all this separation from my church prayer warriors, and my church singing angels, and just all my church family support.

And then I realized something... I can not move any mountains when I'm not praying for myself. I can't reach God when my own faith is weak.(I'm pretty sure The Lord already knows this) I can not help someone else when I haven't helped myself yet. I'm praying for everyone else but neglecting my own spiritual needs!

It all starts with a prayer! (and God's Word). Maybe a short prayer. Then another, and another driving down the road, and another after a conversation, etc etc.

It all starts with me!

I have to pray for myself first!

Lord help me!

With a thankful heart Lord I ask you to remember me...

What about that?

That's what the thief to the right side of Christ said...

"Lord, remember me when thy comest into thy kingdom."

Now I can move again. Now I can pray again. Now I can hope again. Now I can act again. Now I can try again, to be a light in a dark place!

So let me ask you a question...

How is your walk with The Lord?

Heavenly Father, I can't do it with out you, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Help me Lord to pray better.

In Jesus name Amen.

Please remember our church prayer requests and all those listed in our church bulletin.

Pray for one another. Pray for our Nation and ALL people.

Pray for our military, their families and the churches missionaries all around the world.

Pray for our Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and First Responders.

Pray for all those in the medical field, hospitals and doctors offices as they provide patient well care and also to protect themselves.

Finally Pray for the lost, those seeking after The Lord today.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed by thy name

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power,

and the glory, for ever. Amen

"Wherefore edify(encourage) one another..." 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Praying in Christ, Pastor Brian

Have a great day!
